What is a power rack?
A power rack is a piece of exercise equipment designed to provide a safe and versatile platform for weightlifting exercises such as squats, bench presses, and pull-ups.
What are the differences between a half rack and a full power rack?
- Half Rack: Smaller footprint, lower height and ideal for smaller spaces.
- Power Rack: Larger, more stable, offers a wide range of attachments and maximum safety. These typically require more space.
How much space do I need for a power rack?

What is the importance of steel gauge in power racks?
Steel gauge indicates the thickness of the steel used in the rack's construction. Lower gauge numbers mean thicker, stronger steel. For most uses, 11-gauge steel is recommended for its strength and durability.
What is the weight capacity of a power rack and why does it matter?
The weight capacity is the maximum load the rack can safely handle, including the barbell and weight plates. Choose a rack with a weight capacity that exceeds your heaviest lifts to ensure safety and longevity. XMARK Power Racks have a weight capacity of 1000lbs

Are your rack attachments compatible with the power rack I already own?
If your power rack has uprights that are 3”x3” with 1” holes, then our attachments should be compatible. It is important to note that if your rack is from a different brand, there may be some compatibility issues with attachments.
How do I choose the right power rack for my budget?
Set a budget and look for options that balance features, quality, and cost. Investing in a higher-quality rack can save money in the long run by avoiding replacements and repairs. Financing options can also help! We have financing options available through ShopPay!
What safety features should I look for in a power rack?
Look for safety features such as safety pins/straps or spotter arms that catch the barbell if you fail a lift. Full power racks offer superior safety with their enclosed structure and safety bars or straps. The XMARK Viper Power Racks come with your choice of either flip-down or strap safeties. And the Viper Half Racks come with front foot stabilizers to keep your rack stable and grounded.
Are power racks suitable for all levels of lifters?
Yes, power racks are suitable for all levels, from beginners to advanced lifters. Half racks are often ideal for beginners and those with limited space, while full power racks are best for intermediate to advanced lifters who need stability and versatility for heavy lifting.
What are the benefits of power racks with storage?
Power racks with storage combine the features of a full power rack with integrated storage solutions, helping keep your workout area organized and clutter-free. They are ideal for maximizing space efficiency in home gyms.
How does the footprint of a power rack affect its placement?
The footprint determines the amount of floor space the rack occupies. Half racks have a smaller footprint, making them suitable for limited spaces, while full power racks require more room and are better for larger areas.
What is included with each XMARK power rack?
Refer to the specific model details for included components. Generally, XMARK power racks come with features like 3" x 3" 11-gauge steel construction, adjustable J-cups, safety bars or straps, pull-up bars, and storage options.
