We do have plates that meet IWF standards. You can find our competition weight plates here.
What’s the difference between Competition Training Plates and Competition Plates?
Competition plates are plates you would find at a Weightlifting competition. The training version of these plates offers the same weight options, but will have a difference in color and, sometimes, size. If you see “training” in the name next to competition, it means that you can use them to train for your comp, but wouldnt see those exact plates used in a competition setting due to some variations.
What are bumper plates made from?
Most of our bumper plates are made from dense rubber to ensure reliability and longevity.
What storage do I need for bumper plates?
For storing your bumper plates, a plate tree or storage rack is a great option. View our plate storage options here.
Can I use bumper plates on any type of flooring?
It is recommended that bumper plates be used on a reinforced floor for safety and protection of your floors. We recommend using a platform or utilizing stall mats to protect your floors if you intend to drop your plates or do any movement that entails repeatedly hitting the floor with the plates.
How do I properly care for and maintain my bumper plates?
Make sure you are only dropping plates on a protected floor.
Store them off the ground on a tree or shelf.
Clean residue using a microfiber cloth.
Do you offer sets of bumper plates, or are they sold individually?
We offer sets and pairs on the product pages for each plate.
Are your bumper plates suitable for Olympic lifting?
They sure are! Any competition or competition training plate will be suitable for Olympic lifting.
What is the thickness of your bumper plates?
The thickness of our plates depends on the type of plate. You can check out specs of each plate on the respective product page.
Can I customize the color or design of my bumper plates?
This is not a service we offer at this time.
Are your bumper plates suitable for both commercial and home gym use?
Yes! Our plates would be a great addition to your home gym or commercial gym.
Are your bumper plates odor-resistant or treated to prevent odors?
All XMARK bumpers, apart from our Hi-Impact bumpers, are odorless. While the Hi-Impact bumpers may have a slight odor, this should dissipate over time.
How do Bumper Plates differ from Olympic Plates?
Bumper plates are solid rubber and safe for dropping, Olympic plates are not. Another difference is bumper plates are the same size in diameter no matter the weight. Olympic plates will increase in size as they increase in weight.
